2025年1月にアゼルバイジャンの首都バクーに1店舗目がオープンしました。
アゼルバイジャンはカスピ海と黒海に挟まれた、東ヨーロッパまたは西アジアに位置する国です。以前から日本文化やアニメ、言語などに関心のある現地人が多く、開店前から「いつ開店するの？」「早くオープンしてほしいです！」「絶対に行きます！」といった声をいただいていました。

オープン当日は、500人以上のお客様に来店いただき、お店に入りきれないほどの大盛況ぶりとなりました。特に、開店直前はお店の前に人だかりができるほど。お客様が日本商品を楽しみにしているのだということが、肌で感じられました。

しかし、なかなか難しいと感じたのは、みりんや醤油などの調味料の販売。刺身醤油、一般的な醤油、味のついた醤油などの違いが現地の方には伝わりにくく、どの商品を買えばよいのかわからないというお客様をしばしば見かけました。
そのため開店後は、簡単な商品説明をＰＯＰに書いて付ける、接客担当の商品知識を完璧に近づける、接客担当がお客さんにしっかり説明する、といったことに力を入れています。

We opened a new store in Baku, Azerbaijan in January 2025.
Azerbaijan is located between Caspi Sea and Black Sea as an eastern Europe or western Asia. Since before, Azerbaijani is interested Japanese culture and we received so many
messages such as “When do you open?” “Please open as soon as possible!” “Definitely I will
come!”.
On the opening day, more than 500 customers came to our store and it was flooded. Especially at 1 minute before opening, there were crowds of people who were waiting opening. We felt many customers expected real Japanese products sincerely.
However, we have some issues as well. For Japanese, recognizing the difference between normal soy sauce and sushi soy sauce. But for local people, it is too difficult and they do not know what they need to buy. To solve this kind of problem, we put POP for products’ information, educate staffs more and let staffs assist customers more.
